I mentioned here of OSM’s plan to switch to a new license and the temporary data loss.
The project is getting a lot of attention these days and the license switch will be a another critical turning point in the project’s wider adoption.
OSM Philippine community’s efforts to retain as much data as possible through remapping and asking other contributors to consider agreeing to the license change resulted in a much better outlook.

The plan for the ODBL switch will take around 2 weeks starting April 1. I guess no OSM editing for me until it’s all over.
